Ancient ruins of Smyrna are threatened by war
they might be blown up by those who want history
to start now cutting off the umbilical cord of yesterday
and we are all victim of the day before. Yet, sad as
it might be everything will be dust, we should lament
but not cry, as we would the death of a child.
