Not On The Map
Verse 1-
When I was growing up I couldn't wait to leave
That little town
Not even on the map
I was ready to lay some rubber down
And not look back
Ain't it funny the way things change
Chorus -
I go home every chance I get
And get back to a simpler time
Try and find
That piece of me I left behind
When life gets in the way
I know the perfect place
To escape
When I want a slower pace
I just head on back to that little town
Not on the map
Verse 2-
I've been around the world
Seen a million faces
Been to foreign places
And nothing compares
To where
I was born and raised
Chorus-
I go home every chance I get
And get back to a simpler time
Try and find
That piece of me I left behind
When life gets in the way
I know the perfect place
To escape
When I want a slower pace
I just head on back to that little town
Not on the map
Verse 3-
Some day
When I'm old and gray
It's where they'll put me to rest
I couldn't ask for anything less
Chorus-
I go home every chance I get
And get back to a simpler time
Try and find
That piece of me I left behind
When life gets in the way
I know the perfect place
To escape
When I want a slower pace
I just head on back to that little town
Not on the map
