Lysergic Acid (doorway) Diethylamide

Shivers down my spine
Leave me restless
Thrashing awake from this alternative reality
Realizing that my mind has been turned against me

Is reality not our own perception on life?
The uttermost grasp on existence we hold
Yet being confined to the boundaries of our minds
Is all we know

A textured visuality is slipping past our comprehension
Breaking the laws of physical annotation
Leaving us oblivious
To the untouched portion of our stimulus

The mind is a terrible thing to waste
But do we not waste it every day?
Using only fractions of synapses
We stretch it out
Away from the primitive
It snaps back and relapses
Leaving us limited

If we could evolve
And see the stars for what they really are
Be amazed
At what you never seen before

Remove the filters and open the acid doorway
Let in the light and bask in its wonders
Feel it's colors and breathe in the shapes
Watch the earth turn as your mind escapes
