Thank you for recognizing satire.
A while back I wrote an open letter to president Obama scolding him for his hypocritical demand that Putin withdraw troops from the Crimean.
I pointed out that he should do the same in Texas. That to have the majority of America's Military bases in a state that wanted to secede from the Union was an affront to freedom loving Texans. Of course, as anyone can tell you these military bases are very important to Texas' economy
You cannot believe the shit storm it caused. It was bad enough my fellow progressives thought I was serious, but somehow, the East, West and Southern Texas Militias got a hold of my telephone number. I didn't even know their was an East, West or any such thing as Texas Militia at all.
At first the calls and texts from the Texans were complimentary, but when it was brought to their attention by a Houston hate radio host, that they were being buffooned, I got more threats then a cold nosed dog in a nudist camp.
So thanks a ton, for putting my poem into perspective.
