Into her Daddy's Home
the last light
she will see tonight
flickering candles
against the darkness
she knows she will
leave and travel
without her luggage
without her backpack
she whispers her goodbye
to all around her
the caped man arrives
and she closes her eyes
she feels his love
her daddy's warmth
in the light she wakes
in her daddy's arms
you waited daddy
she says
he nods and hugs
her healed body.
