Maybe in a Gravel Desert or Mountain Stream

Maybe in a gravel desert or mountain stream,
I will face the wind and end this dream;
I will obey the elder patterns imprinted in the flowers,
And seek the hidden powers that mend in silence,
Behind the bulging nerves.

Have you ever seen the dead wear gentle feathers?
They hide in the clouds, their shape is vast and never certain...
It's okay to see them, you'll be a human until you do...

But just make sure you end what you start,
For a lingering life infuriates the wispy swarming of death...

For the dead will drown you in their blood,
Until you remember the Sky Beyond,
The Silence and the Ease...

Maybe in a gravel desert or mountain stream,
It is time to think, how at the end of eternity,
Words that built you, now return you to the ground.

And good and evil were just two words you learn
As light makes mountains out of life;
And the mountains slide,
The moon and stars crackle and collide;

And you disappear without fear,
Walking as black air away to nowhere.
