The refrain of the rain
the sough of winds the brush of leaves
the cheery ever babbling brooks
the flights of birds for shelter
accompany the refrain of the rain
the thunder rolls the lightnings flash
the songs of calling cicadas
distant barks of dogs
accompany the laughter of children
the refrain of the rain rings
nature's orchestra on a full stage
the songs of nature thunders
towards the grey cloudy skies
the refrain of the rain
tinkles into my consciousness
the dark curtain falls
as I sink to slumber
