A greater love
A love ages and ages perceived
To inspire hearts an eternal show
With a tale the vast hath weaved
For the love of love to overthrow
She so fair hid her parts away
To offer him with that to fill
And die for him by and by day
To live in darkness by her will.
He doth share thy splendor bright
While hiding in cruel shade
To show his love's fair sight
As he at night forever to fade.
Their love does call upon Death
But Love sustains their life;
Dancing eternal from since they met;
Sun and moon, husband and wife.
To inspire hearts an eternal show
With a tale the vast hath weaved
For the love of love to overthrow
She so fair hid her parts away
To offer him with that to fill
And die for him by and by day
To live in darkness by her will.
He doth share thy splendor bright
While hiding in cruel shade
To show his love's fair sight
As he at night forever to fade.
Their love does call upon Death
But Love sustains their life;
Dancing eternal from since they met;
Sun and moon, husband and wife.
