From Darkness to Darkness
he folded her into his heart
as she walked into his emptiness
a fragile beauty that came in
and lighted away his darkness
his smiles promised radiance
as she danced within his vision
touching his days with splendour
and his nights with ardour
he held her fervently
as he traversed his life
full of temptation
'I love my wife...but o baby'
a false step, a false touch
many blunders and carnal wishes
made true by his weaknesses
curtain fell on home bliss
his weakness mirrored into her
her strength grew as his wan
she danced in magenta gowns
bleeding from his infidelities
her tears trailed into the night
fading footsteps leaving
the door slammed and darkness
it seeped into his being again
faint echo of laughter
fragrance on the pillows
cackle in glee in his mind
as swirling darkness seeped in
he missed her figure besides him
her laughter and her gaiety
he missed her air of innocence
he wished her back again
the wind blew by soughing
like a prolonged painful moan
his darkness engulfed him
in his perpetual gloom.
