Revelations: Origins Part Two

Curses abound from serpent tongues
Spitting vile words where corpses hung
From oaken trees in winter storms
Spirits arise in frosted air
In howling despair and the call of the horn

The creators spit their venom
At hearts betwixt the shores
Divided by the warfare
Between angel and demon
Fatally burning the world

Two lovers kiss
Upon the Styx
But come too late
Black waters churning
When two hearts turning
The twist of fate

The crucifix
On which I wish
The crimson stain
Is not a blessing
A tale that’s missing
Its poet’s name

So, what does the devil tell me
Nightly in whispered screams?
Not secrets of Heaven
But of tortures of the seed
Born when hearts began to beat

Thus behold,
My revelation
The beauty is the beast
That holds the key
To damnation

Leviathans burrowing deep
In the pit to the core
Divining wicked truths
Hidden from the eyes of He
Unlock and open the doors

I have seen wonders beyond stars
Ancient scriptures in crystal shards
Fevers burning in winter’s grasp
Intoxicating with madness
Embrace the darkness with magic from the past

Behemoths slumber underground
Their breath quakes your cities
Eternally hungry
They long to hear little sounds
And they will give no pity

The broken glass
Lay on the path
To redemption
Your crosses burning
At seasons turning
Where’s salvation?

You will not last
The void is vast
No guiding hand
And with no warning
The darkness coming
Across the land

I have seen wonders beyond gods
Encased in gold, guarded by dogs
Thrice cursed heads snarling in rage
The secrets of forbidden shows
Highlight those below, taste freedom from the cage

Thus behold,
My revelation
The beauty is the beast
That holds the key
To salvation

I must be the rock against the storm
And pave the way for the conquering worm
The raven will show us the way
Into the great beast’s awaiting arms
Hold aloft the lantern
Then make your way through the maelstrom
And embrace the waiting phantoms

We must be the rock against the storm
And pave the way for the conquering worm
The raven will usher the way
Into the great beast’s awaiting arms
Hold aloft the lantern
Then force your way through the maelstrom
And embrace the waiting phantoms

Join me
And taste
The night
