I remember
Remember when you
Showed my mother that knife
I do, it was only a pocket knife
I don't think you seen me but I was there
I remember you telling mom that you would kill her if we were there when you got back home
I remember she was scared and she knew you would kill us
So We fled from you that day
We Walked around aimlessly for days
I remember on one night my brother being so tired
He sat on a pile of red ants
I thought it was funny
Even though he peed in his pants
I was 6 or 7
When you did this to us we
Had no were to go no one to trust
I remember one night we slept outside the police station
They really didn't help us, they said they would have to separate us and they asked for your name.
That was a no no mom wouldn't give you any blame
that night I remember my sisters tears
My mother with all her fears
My brother asleep
Me looking at the pretty water fountain Wondering if I could
Swim in it.. If it was just knee deep
I remember going home eventually we had to
We hid when we seen your headlights
You came in looked for my mom
You did nothing but say
Where's my food I'm hungry
What you standing there for talking to yourself
Get up women poor me my drink
That's it, it was over like it never began
But I'll never forget them nights
Sleeping on the cold streets with
My mother and siblings
Wondering what we would eat
While you where home drinking away
Not giving a fuck if we lived or died
You just always wanted us dead by your hands or a strangers
Either way it was done
You wouldn't have to worry anymore about your daughters, wife or your beautiful son
Showed my mother that knife
