War
He went in as a whole man
Leaving me with a loving goodbye
Came back to me broken
Angry and hurt
Never speaking of the tragedy he'd seen
Didn't want love
Until I showed him
Broken, Angry and Hurt...
He was still a man
Leaving me with a loving goodbye
Came back to me broken
Angry and hurt
Never speaking of the tragedy he'd seen
Didn't want love
Until I showed him
Broken, Angry and Hurt...
He was still a man

It can break a relationship or make it stronger...I like happy endings. Thank you John. :)
Re: War
Echo XMar and Seascape. With the centenary of WWI coming up, and the ongoing maiming of soldiers in recent campaign in Iraq and Afghanistan, a timely theme. Yes, it can break a relationship or make it stronger. Last four lines my favourite.

Now that's love. This piece touched me Tommie. I believe that love is the only way to bring someone back from such unimanageable trauma.

That's a beautiful write, T Lynn. Thrifty word usage resulting in an explosion of significant consequence. (I'm trying to say great job). I don't remember ever seeing a title that contributed so much to the total effect...
