She emails me her jersey
Local speak, for name and number
Without hesitation, I send the initial text
Wait two minutes, then call
                 
You may ask, why the slight delay
Grants her time to read the playful words
Ponder the intention and form a reply
But prior to sending a response, her phone rings
             
She views the incoming number
Recognizes it from the text just received
Answers with a smile, ready for conversation
The stage was set by a friendly, humorous message
