My Darkness
isn't very dark
its more of a spot on the heart
a crippling stitch in my soul
something not easily snuffed
yet lies dormant most days
lying in wait
for an imperfect time to wake
taking over
destruction, its only remnant
once its gone
no chance of rebuilding
its grip is loose
but constrictive
I just want to get rid of it.
