i am me

I am tired of apologizing for being myself..
Yet that is all it seems I can do.
I even apologize for apologizing.
My what a thing to do.
They tell me don't be sorry,
it isn't your fault.
And yet deep in my heart I
can't help but feel sorry,
you are hurting, or sick, or depressed.
It may not be my fault but still I am sorry.
I will out dork and loud everyone
and I will try to understand,
but what you must see is I am me
and I am not sorry.
