Burning All
My teeth swim in tar
because I clamp back
on what I could spew
all over your self-proclaimed parade.
Your words rattle with a hollow bead,
tinder for the fireball rising fast
up my spine and out my fingertips.
I'm just a flicker spark away
from burning all the bridges
you ever hope to cross.

ahh, the anger. an emancipation of sorts ..with any luck
a surprising enough read coming from you, clinical in your word choice. some really great lines in there ..too many to start quoting. voice is consistent and near chilling and there's a grand fluidity, seamless in its flow.
all in, missus I cannot really offer anything constructive. all I can do is tip my metaphorical cap and throw complements
Keep shinin' Miss

I wanted to put the anger to work, and now it is DU ink instead of brewing in my head.
Thank you for the cap tip, Craic, how gallant.

Use this as a threat to anyone who gets in your way and they will run like hell.

There's a form to anger that has a life of its own. I think this flame has burned before!
Thank you, Feddeler.

True enough. The warning is more for me, though, else I'll end up sweeping up ashes...
Cheers, whale.

Volatile-- anger seething with a vengence...and right on the edge of an emotional explosion!!
Your first stanza is so uniquely creative, my Friend....sets the tone for the entire piece.
(Time to duck and cover!!! :0 )

Hehehe, true, Enchantress. Loving your observations - you turn up for my darker writing, though. Ink reflects like a mirror!
;)
Appreciate your words, Friend.

Oh my Goddess I felt this one in my every pore....
I have been there (as my mind interprets your write), and felt that towards the most vile while clenching silently
you nailed that emotion!
great work ;-)

Re: Burning All
Such a good & creative way to write it out; I can so relate to this. Nicely controlled ink.

"My teeth swim in tar
because I clamp back
on what I could spew" --That is awesome.
I always liked the word tar just never found a way to use it. Kind of like that Nirvana song where Kurt says "I've been drawn into your magnet tar-pit trap"
Good stuff though, you're a great poet.

I don't know where the tar came from, it seemed to fit.
