Stain Remains

Silver edges mark my terror
They reflect what’s left of me
As it cuts away at my being
Staining my harsh reality

Covered in a mask of pleasure
Brushed on with strokes of intoxication
Snowman my favorites cover up
Slanted smiles of reincarnation

I am his temple to live
The master within my walls
I am tethered to his wishes
I am faithfully yours

On my knees in prayer
To my surrendering faith
Pleasing him through empty bottles
The scriptures I now ingest

When his love is gone
The stained helpless me remains
Dripping tears of poison
Pleading master come again

Curled up like a wet dog
Fearing life as it is
Shaking in the horrific terror
Of the headless strings that are still active

3 hard years have past
many of them I miss him
I will never forget my master
For his stains still remain

(written for a friend, Crims recent heart spills had me thinking of my friend)
