The Ghost of the Sea
The sailor saw a bright light
Amidst the dark surface of the sea
One fateful night
When fear had conquered him completely
Then he relaxed as the light gave him hope
He paddled his boat out to get a closer glimpse
But then he realized the light was a ghost
The one of the old Captain Mist
The spirit said:
'I've haunted many sailors
Sank many ships
And even killed a tailor
When I cut him at the hips
So I've come to take ye away as well
Enjoy your last moment as I drag ye to hell!'
And the spirit sank his ship and swallowed him whole
As he screamed from the harsh bitter cold
And this be the only story I heard without being told
Amidst the dark surface of the sea
One fateful night
When fear had conquered him completely
Then he relaxed as the light gave him hope
He paddled his boat out to get a closer glimpse
But then he realized the light was a ghost
The one of the old Captain Mist
The spirit said:
'I've haunted many sailors
Sank many ships
And even killed a tailor
When I cut him at the hips
So I've come to take ye away as well
Enjoy your last moment as I drag ye to hell!'
And the spirit sank his ship and swallowed him whole
As he screamed from the harsh bitter cold
And this be the only story I heard without being told
