In This Place
In this place
I see the world
Not for what it is
But for what I wish it never was
In this place
The taste of sin
It dances on my lips
A dance so smooth
So hot and strong
And yet so soft and kind
In this place
I am alone
But shrug off the weight I bear
And for a moment
If only one
I can leave it sitting there
The bad the ugly
The mine the yours the theirs
The weight I carry
Of which most are unaware
Sitting here
I see it clear
Where it all divides
What's mine to bear
And yours and theirs
To keep it for me just isn't fair
But I'll bear it all the same
Because I see it sitting there
And give myself the blame
So as I depart from this place
The one so neutral and clean
I sling this weight back where it was
So it can remain unseen
I see the world
Not for what it is
But for what I wish it never was
In this place
The taste of sin
It dances on my lips
A dance so smooth
So hot and strong
And yet so soft and kind
In this place
I am alone
But shrug off the weight I bear
And for a moment
If only one
I can leave it sitting there
The bad the ugly
The mine the yours the theirs
The weight I carry
Of which most are unaware
Sitting here
I see it clear
Where it all divides
What's mine to bear
And yours and theirs
To keep it for me just isn't fair
But I'll bear it all the same
Because I see it sitting there
And give myself the blame
So as I depart from this place
The one so neutral and clean
I sling this weight back where it was
So it can remain unseen
