Depression

I've shed enough tears to fill an ocean
the sun has stopped shining and the dark clouds have crept back in
there's a storm brewing inside me
a black hole growing bigger and bigger with every disappointing let down
ready to consume all that is good
everything I've worked so hard for
vanishing before my eyes as if i were watching some David Blane trick
all that I fought to break free from
the obsessive depression that follows the great recession
rapidly dragging me back down kicking and screaming
Like a young child headed for a spanking
My world is spinning
My mind filed with snapshots of the pain that lies ahead
This is all so familiar
I've been here before
I was so close to happiness then I watched it fade away
Like a handful of water
slipping through my grasp the tighter I squeezed
