Escape from the barbed wire brigade
They built a fence around us to close the place in,
Behind each primary colour door tales of sordid sin,
Nets that twitch unseen music blaring loud,
Lads drink cheap cider on street corner in a crowd,
Gossip reigns supreme as your business ain't your own,
Every last detail is repeated, filed and known,
The weeds are growing higher they're festering around,
Nothing else can flourish upon this concrete ground,
Refugees are taunted here for colour & for creed,
Racists smash their windows mistaking need for greed
