Ready, Set, Go

I think about you
more than I'd like to admit.
It's a constant thing,
but I just can't let it slip.
When we're face to face,
my heart gets out of control
I want to be honest
but I can't seem to let go.

Did I miss my chance?
Tell me did I wait too long?
Did you want me then?
Maybe you just moved on.
If I'm in your head
could you let me know?
I'm already yours,
ready, set, go.

Back in September,
the first night you took me home.
We talked all night long,
and that kiss stuck to my bones.
This limbo we're in,
it's been nice taking it slow.
But if I lost my charm,
you really need to let me know.

Did I miss my chance?
Tell me did I wait too long?
Did you want me then?
Maybe you just moved on.
If I'm in your head
could you let me know?
I'm already yours,
ready, set, go.

I pick up my phone,
and I put it right back down.
I'm such a coward,
can't say I want you around.
If I could speak up,
I'd tell you that I miss you.
And when I space out,
I think about how I'd kiss you.

Did I miss my chance?
Tell me did I wait too long?
Did you want me then?
Maybe you just moved on.
If I'm in your head
could you let me know?
I'm already yours,
ready, set, go.
