What If

Go ahead and take the risk,
That has been holding you back.
Do you want to be risk free,
While on the death bed you lie?
To die naive of love, hope and happiness.
Just believe and let go of your stress.
To go through life with no friends,
Is boring until the very end.
Go out and be all you can be,
Get out and enjoy being free.
The experience of doing something new,
Might be what you need to get you through.
I know what it's like to be on both sides,
The rocky roads and the kissing tides.
Both are good to a certain extent,
But some obstacles have to be hurled.
In the dark you just grow old,
So break down your wall and meet the world.
You don't have to live a wild reckless life,
But don't live sheltered in your mother's arms.
Everyone needs to learn to crawl,
To walk, run and jump.
And sometimes you are going to fall,
But stuck at wondering 'What if?' is not a life at all.
Take a chance to fulfill your duty.
The pain is only temporary.
If you succeed there is glory.
But if you fail there is always tomorrow.
A new day to grow.
