So Misused and Abused

Though love can be a beautiful thing,
It can dangerous and deadly.
What could be mistaken for love,
Could be revealed as deceit.
The term is so misused and abused,
Makes you wonder if anyone knows what it truely is.
Its used to manipulate, to lie, to hurt,
Rarely is it truely used for its purpose.
Why, why must a beautiful emotion be used as a weapon?
Why must it be used to hurt than to be used for passion?
Is it ignorance towards its true meaning?
Or does humanity truely seek to hurt its own kind?
Unknown by many and many to come,
The word love, is only used to seduce and succumb.
