Discarded
A broken down rusty can
in the middle of the road
kicked around and beat up
once full of life, full of joy
bringing happiness and pleasure.
But now no more,all gone
the sparkle,the bubbles,the life
sucked right out of it
tossed aside and forgotten
stepped on,crunched up and crushed.
But still there, lying in the gutter
that broken down rusty can
just wanting to be full again.
in the middle of the road
kicked around and beat up
once full of life, full of joy
bringing happiness and pleasure.
But now no more,all gone
the sparkle,the bubbles,the life
sucked right out of it
tossed aside and forgotten
stepped on,crunched up and crushed.
But still there, lying in the gutter
that broken down rusty can
just wanting to be full again.

A scary parallelism to human beings.
Sometimes we're discarded, too.
Sometimes we're filled again.
Sometimes we just are waiting
and waiting ...
I love that poem, it's so
brilliantly crafted.
