Welcome to My World

It happened on a Sunday
I was living in Buena Park
The SSA had taken my son
I wasn’t happy like a lark.
So on that Sunday morning
I picked up a paper and a pen
Started writing a poem
My heart it needed to mend.
It went like this:
"God had His reasons for taking you away.
I don’t know what they are even though I may
He gave me a vision I didn’t understand
It was so far in the future but now He’s taking my hand
He’s showing me things that I was too blind to see
But He’s given me you to love and this has set me free.
During these times while I’m waiting for you I’m thanking the Good Lord above
For blessing me with a beautiful child and the gift of unconditional love."
Those words flowed like water
I didn’t have to rewrite one word
That was my very first poem
I know how it sounds absurd.
Never did this stuff in high school
I’ve never looked in a book
It only had to come from my heart
This is all it ever took
So when you read my poems,
Remember I am self taught
I do this stuff to  vent and share
Schooling I never got.
And if you want to say something good
About the poems that I write
Go ahead and tell me your thoughts
Negativity stay out of my sight.
Most of the poems are about my life
Maybe a lover or a ex friend
Could be about someone who is gone
To Heaven my love I do send.
So hello to everyone here
