Dad, you were what every adventure looks for
You created an aura so pure
So light hearted, that the darkness always seemed to run and hide
Such a mysterious ball of color
A being so protective against all preditors
Protecting your family
I remember when you had chased away some bad boy friends
You were my super hero dad
Kind, loving, caring, and wise
I use to come to you for your advice with cooking or with translations
I wish I had learned to speak spanish
Though I have no regrets
You had such an open heart

You remind me of the sunrise and sunset
The way the ocean waves dance when there's company
It just seems like a dream
All the times you got sick, you remained strong
Even more stubborn when it came to doctors
Though my eyes swell up with tears
I am at peace because I know you're safe now
