I know what you mean Magdalena, kind of you.

Grace - we all feel that way sometimes.  Women have to learn to nurture themselves.  This is not my idea - but one learned from a wise woman.  You have to put yourself before you try to make everybody happy.  I did not and ended up ill. So my advice is - ignore the people who might call you "selfish" and do something every day that makes you feel physically and mentally better.
BTW...I liked your poem
