dog fight

canines go straight for the neck
this is their instinct
counter-instinct highly recommends that I go for the bat
his face shattered quite nicely
under the undeniable force of
aluminum dog-repellent

can't let them get the better of you
or so survival mechanism dictates
fight or flight... or die
for once I've taken aggressive action
against better judgement
to momentarily not go through
the pain and strangeness of leaving this all behind
