at the courthouse exactly
at the courthouse exactly
upon a jaunty judicial noon
at the courthouse exactly ecstatically
and not a moment too soon.
O Constable!
Abaddon bless you!
i have been, i believe, most most judicious
this auspicious before&afterlife!
having achieved no unscrupulous wrong-doings on record
& having deceived no one in particular
i think i should very well
go freely into that good and godly night
and yet
and yet
and yet
and yet
why do you entreat me so bad?
have i not been brotherly all the while?
a fine specimen in the american style.
inverted in the womb and ever after,
bent to a bit of natural sedition perhaps,
but really its all, really, simply a bit of a laugh, please understand,
this knavish malaria of the spirit is what i mean.
jinglejangle
what a drag!
manacles of the civil dead
that knot my hands & head.
Fine people of the great State of Parafornia!
might i contend just now
what strife has been mine
to live amongst your iniquitous kind !
why it is to cry and cry !
upon the altar of salacious acquiescence
& O how shamefully i abide
& swim & swim
like witches down the upside.
