Incandescent descent
To the heights of heaven soared
'pon the wings of angel’s love
baskin’ together carefree
on sweet cotton clouds
like a pair of virgin doves
then, the fantasy died n’ now
all’s left is the surety of a fatal blow...
as it penetrates an ill-gotten fate,
exstinguished flames, no longer glow...
Macabre visions of emotions left dangling,
on the chandelier of the soul
shimmer of light nearly expired completely
as wrangly n’ twisted fingers poke with icy touch
thru a heart once proudly beatin’ with strength of love
though now, it resists it’s futile attempts for revival
it's a song tone death to ears bled dry from silent screams
when affection seems to reside within shadows solace
n’ yet though the stark reality
is akin to a planet less likely to breath life
on the most barren in all the galaxy...
cries incessantly scream for an angel
to withstand the savagery of existence’s hollow well
although foolishly he lingers on...
for the slightest glimmer of hope…
