The Call
I am here
waiting for your call
the one that will
let me hear your
beautiful voice
The call that will
make it real
just us talking again
the way we used to
I want to hear from you
want to get that call
will email you once more
to encourage you

but don't know
if I'll ever get that call

from fantasy
to reality

Gold Clumps
Into this I go unknown
fate so strange
nothing to own
darkened skies
yet hope peeks through
many moments of deja vu
much has been lost
yet love and wisdom are gain

Left to my own devices
Mysterious things happen when I am left to my
own devices -- even in my dark times and especially
now that there is more light again in my life
I am strangely attuned and able to let circumstances
flow in and out of me peacefully
the right time is always now
books and things I need find me and
today another epiphany --
There are more things we have in
common than just the love of books
and writing -- the appreciation of the visual
in all its aspects.....
well today was a good day what can I say :)

Technology
Don't get me wrong
I am not anti-technology
some technological advances
are very useful and have been
a blessing others not so much
here are things about technology
that drive me crazy:
1. Self-flushing toilets
these things seem to flush whenever
except when you need them to
sometimes they start to flush when you
enter but not when u leave
Oftentimes I wonder why these gadgets don't work
for me -- maybe my forcefield does not mix with theirs...
2. Sinks that have motion detector...
I am not anti-technology

I am so impressed!!!
You know I am a bibliophile
and that I would find it --
I am as always in awe
complete awe and admiration
for your many many talents
especially as your talents as a writer

Viewpoint
for some reason sometimes I am not able to tell
did you love it or hate it or think it was swell
was there not enough sexy or did you think it
boring as hell
or are you elated and it has rung your bell
I sit here and ponder about all of this
then it hits me that something has gone amiss
and as I ponder some more about what it could be
the answer is still alluding me
but alas after a good night's sleep
comes the insightful epiphany that I seek
that if I don't want more co-dependency
it's my own viewpoint that should be...

Our Secret Garden
a luscious paradise and
a place that is known only to you and I
where time doesn't exist and eternity makes its home
only we know the path that leads to its mysterious location
it hides itself from the others and
they can neither see it nor find it
there we speak the same language and read each others thoughts
it's here that we make love and become one

My sweet Valentine
my sweet valentine
will you always be mine
in sickness and health
through poverty and wealth
and all of life's situations
including hardships and tribulations
just know despite everything keeping us apart
you're the one who still has my heart
together lets face our problems and fears
with love lust laughter compassion and tears
cause our love and passionate embrace
will never be just a fleeting phase
and when our lips meet for a luscious kiss
it's always the most wonderful bliss
so...

Vacation
today I don't wanna dwell on the problems in my life
today I just wanna have fun
today I don't want to have worries or strife
I just wanna play in the sun
so I'll be eating ice cream and sipping on my champagne
I'm not gonna worry about healthy living
or the few pounds that I'll gain
perhaps I'll smoke a cigarette or maybe even two
I know a little tiny bit of weed can be so good for you
you'll see me paint my nails with glitter
and put bright colors on my face
today I need to get out of here
I need a change of pace
why don't you...

don't get me wrong
I love my style
love being me nowadays
grey hair funky clothing and all
but you have run your own gauntlet
and you have been brave
knowing the type of ladies
that you fancy and look at
boy oh boy what on earth
must you think of me
you probably think I am a
troll who escaped from the forest
wild and free but with it
comes the nose picking
burping and scratching
the little temper tantrums
