Performance Review
I wish I could have been encouraged
by those closest to me,
I was taught we should be fortunate for the basics
and I believe that to be true
I see it was defeat
that carried them through life
and in turn
that translated
that one must settle instead of strive
But here I am
mid-life,
and unfulfilled in career
my only salvation
often the imagination
I envy those so driven,
qualities I can't always find in myself
the power of repetitive mindsets
having that influence

Make Me Warm All Over
It got so cold
that flash freeze
needs the warmth
of your parted knees
did I say pretty please?
That crisp air
got me in a shiver
I guess we haven't fully made it
through the winter
but what better reason
to make you quiver?
That calling cocoon
in glorious pink,
seems so wet and ready
for this length to sink
Oh yes, riding high
your bounce slapping against my thighs
I think we found the antidote
to conjure some warmth
and a glorious sunrise.

the promise of spring
to tempt the palette

There is nothing more enticing
than that spark in eye,
or that flash of thigh,
to stiffen what is soft
But it is the mind,
that interprets the message
and passes it to the body,
seeding thoughts rich and naughty
in response

and what we do
may not always be in alignment,
But one must cherish,
this marriage
of positions
and the summoning
of all entry points,
when offered

to the ultimate prize,
