The dresser drawer
left open
inviting my gaze
to assess the folded collection
and the possibility
of seeing you in them,
and the many colors
that rub against
the sacred welcoming
tempt me for weeks
with the promise
of a private showing
that will compel me
to pry them
from your exquisite form
one leg at a time,
guided by my lips
not wanting to let slip
any inch of bare skin
from my attention.

The Advice of Memes
The broadcasts,
meme after meme
promising worth
comes in the solitude
of days
Opportunities to find yourself,
without value from others
But maybe so many of us
were mistreated,
that this became a truth
to be imparted
for preservation
I still struggle
to see the worth
in all the lonely hours
of a populated planet,
isolated with little choice,
but to chronically masturbate
in the pursuit
to make sense of the self
Why do we spin this idea
that connection is weak ...
