Once goodbye ruled
lived in fear of a word
of losing you
Rapids of time
Swallowed life
But in the beast belly
Steel becomes bone, flesh, all
From the dark tyrant
I rise its conqueror

Looked to heaven
Prayed reign
Descend from kingly skin
Worshipped in vein
For an end to starvation
Faith, he falsely prophesied
Would fall from
Barren intentions
If I braved the dark mother
Who bore his nature
Lost as he romanced stones
Evoking Liliths
Drunk on lust lamentations
Lone left to wander
Fruitless amidst his wilderness
Prayed reign

It's never the matter
Of believing
I your only
It's the words,
"trust" you begged
After i embraced lonely
Letting you have your way totally
That stings worse than
Any fist that kissed my face
Drinking cyanide kool-aid
Bringing a cynic to hope again
Yet with a breeze
Her carefree
As Autumn leaves
I became yesterday
Did her flavor make your lips
Sweeter to taste?
Guess you needed
The escape
From pleas
I couldn't take the weight
Of building two worlds
While you play...

Lies, sweet speaking acid between
Stealing moments from her
That belong in a back alley
Waiting 2AM at truck stops
