There's a thing that's said a thousand times a day,
And its something I want to say.
It's something that's heartfelt and meant so true,
And quite simple it's me saying thank you.
Thank you for always being there,
Thank you for all your love and care.
Thank you for cheering me up when I've been in tears,
Thank you for helping me allay my doubts and fears.

Thank you for my upbringing and a loving home.

So my best mate Dean is now 35,
That means he's passed onto an era that is called Midlife.
Must say it's a pity that he can't be here,
Having a few laughs and drinking some beer.
But the best things come to those who wait,
Even though knowing you, I know you'll be late.
But in all honesty and this is sincerely felt,
This year would've killed had it not been for your help.
You're such a good man. Genuine, selfless and caring,
You always give a shit about how others are faring.
I'll always be here whenever you need me,
Even if I'm stressed...

So finally in rolls 2021,
Thought it can't be worse than the last one.
But it has started off with gloom all around,
The cries of tier 5 are the only sound.
Just something we all have to get used to,
Even though it's as welcome as gum on your shoe.
Whilst we sit around bored and moping,
For some good news we all are hoping.
But in these times for me and you,
There's 1 thing that can get us through.
Although we can't be with those we hold dear,
Thanks to technology, they are always near.
And all the love which through our gadgets is...
Thought it can't be worse than the last one.

Dreams
To sleep is just a dream,
Random thoughts or so it seems.
Flashbacks to days long past,
Don't time go by ever so fast!?
I don't quite know where the dream begins,
My REM sleep is plagued by my sins.
Memories of bad deeds I've done,
Fuck, wish this dream had never begun.
As all I see are my many faults,
Wish they were all locked up in vaults.
1 happy dream would be ever so sweet,
Just 1 night of happiness would be such a treat.
But unfortunately, when I lay down in bed,
I can't control the thoughts running through my...

So yet again have I been played like a fool,
By my so called mates that think they're so cool.
They sit and wait till they can stick their teeth in,
And all my feelings are just for the bin.
At first they act so friendly over the blower, "How are you mate?",
Arrange a time then on purpose turn up late.
As far as I can tell, they do it for shits and giggles,
It's like I'm a worm on a hook that can't stop my wiggles.
Because they use me as bait, use me to get what they need,
They don't realise I'm fucked off and that my heart bleeds. ...
