Delicate
A small delicate daisy;
Misplaced among thorn covered roses.
A young gentle butterfly;
Hidden in a swarm of angry bees.
A fluffy white cloud;
Overtaken by rain filled storms.
Tiny morning dew drops;
Trapped on a spiders web.
Freshly fallen snowflakes;
Disturbed by harsh winds.
Majestic mountains rising high;
Casting the world below in shadow.
A flowing waterfall;
frozen solid by glacial ice.
Innocent baby robins;
Abandoned before learning to fly.
Youthful green sprouts;
Left untended and alone.

Broken
I fought beside you
Lent you my strength
Put aside my demons
Yet you gave up
You held my heart
A delicate object
I trusted you with it
Yet you broke it
I gave you my love
My happiness
My world
Yet you destroyed it
I fought the sadness
The hurt and the pain
Offered you my love
Yet you left me alone
Left to wander through life
Alone in my strife
Words hurt like a knife
Yet you left me in darkness
I gave you my trust
My heart and my soul
My love and my world
But now I’m standing...

Never to Begin Again
You were the first I truly loved
You were the first who I really kissed
You were the one who I gave my heart to
You were the one who treated me well
You were the one who gave me my smile
You were the one who approved my style
But now we are no more
You are the one who still holds my heart
You are the one who filled me with hurt
You are the one who stopped me from trusting
You are the one who fed my doubts

Singing so sweet

The warmth and safety

The care they had held
I remember your laugh
Knowing I was the cause
I remember your smile
The happiness that shone
I remember our dance
Our perfect night
Now the love is gone
Replaced by pain
Taken over by anguish
