A Death By Devourment
Preyed upon by anorexic carnivors
Where's luster when you need it?
Glued to the side of a runaway train
Chase till that dead end giveaway
Because drones cower in secret chasms
For their creator is nervous at
The thought of his own dissapointment
So he sets his sons off to conquer
In a world gasping for vaccination
Public opinion is the cancer
And there's no cure for destiny
Believing in the principle that
It's simply not up to me
Goading the ants into bloodshed
As feeble as humans or Gods of likeness
Without the free range to ignore...

DARK POEM

An Exhibition In Human Nature
One bright summer day
The birds were a flutter
And the grass awoke in the meadow from bed
The air was hot
The wind blew cool
Where a poor man lay dead
The children would poke him
Animals ate from his flesh
The homeless used him to stay warm at night
Until the first autumn day
He was buried in leafs
Peacefully and out of sight
Then came winter
Where he froze in his slumber
Under a permafrost bed sheet
Till spring thawed him out
Back on display
So he ran away with cold feet!

Wanted The World, and Now The Air Makes Me Sick
Constant anxiety consuming in foxholes
Let this emotion be my guiding sight
Looking through the stained glass lense
Of a hopeless vagrant
I've been arguing with myself on the importance of accomplishments
And what they mean to us as a society
Whether my comfort in my current lifestyle is a set back or progression
It's been raining pure bragging rights over these seedless pores
Irrigate this shriveling terrain with something more
Is a virtuous existence worth it's weight in monetary success?
Does it fall below the line?
And what is virtue...

We're all philosophical junkies
One way or another
Just some more than others

Does She Know? And Why Should I Give A Damn?
Lying in a manner both cunning and passive
With a tail tucked between two gangrene limbs
Asking yourself if the needle poked to see how far it could reach
Or whether the antidote was truly necessary in curing a sickness so calm
Serenely dancing in the vains of a pathological cynic
And the white blood cells faint at the thought of her swooning in
To turn this corps into a quarantine
With such palatable decisiveness why wouldn't they?
She's a star on broadway alley
Yet every other show is a thumbs down for me
Digging them into my soft soiled skull...

Friendship; In Contrast With A Lover
Uncompromising in this mixture
Separating liquids in a cracked vile
Seeping and seemingly ready to burst
Unleash it's contents
Across a laboratory floor
Swept into the database of
Another failed attempt in fusion
Which of these two constants
Should take a seat on the back burner
Bubbling and cantankerous in raising hands
Voicing naively loud opinions not even called forth
Hence we walk on eggshells when our bellies are vacant
This is a democratic relationship
And a Coup D'Etat is all I ever wanted
Because wrapping these...

I Never Knew I Wrote of Love So Much
Reading cement syllables
Off a sidewalk sketch
Chalk creating craters
Where we could nestle
Caressing and purring
In a one act tragedy
We're a drive by sonnet
Dancing in the winds
From between serantonin's lips
Just let her bite down
And reel us in
The beauty and the tramp
Of these two littered streets
We're an intersection romance
Crashing headfirst
Into oncoming traffic
And when we were
Side by side in our stretchers
I knew we'd be in love forever
Or until we left our hospital beds

The Aboriginal Tango
Read my lips
I invite you
To dance this aboriginal tango
And when you're done
Perusing through red herrings
Take a bite
We'll trade them
Back and forth
Like a buffet for the senses
One to leave our stomachs empty
The ink will overflow
The blood will curdle
Then we can rub both of our
Coagulated slabs together
Over the fresh pages
Let them
Burn bright like we do
Pure unadulterated inspirations
Taboo in nature
Yet uncomfortable in our habitat
When out of place
We flop on mattresses
Like fish out...
I invite you
To dance this aboriginal tango

Too Many Swine
Too many swine
Frolic in the mud
Look on disgusted
Yet what do I offer for alternative?
Nothing,
And sometimes I wonder
If contentedness in hypocrisy
In sloth
Is acceptable
Instead of nervously waiting for more
Mouths open wide
Under the tap
Here comes the filth
Here comes the shit
Monetary security
Seems like such a tinfoil safe haven
Walls flimsy and warped
At any time capable
Of complete collapse
I've been laughing
And criticizing
My way through my early years
Occasionally hitting...

Messed Up, and Ready To Be Messed Around With
An envious ant for you my queen
Collecting thoughts to break my back
Lugging them in hefty crates to satisfy your desires
Climbing upscale landscapes
And perhaps it was a bad case of the ageist heat
That made me staple the corners of my mouth
To the brim of my eyelids, smiling blindly
Making you laugh for no reason
Have you ever salivated for conversation?
Specifically with one individual at that?
Commiserating in a crowded, noisy bar
For even if I understood only one word out of ten
They would still sound sweeter than that
Saccharine...

In the midst of the swelling
Anxiety cements itself to a throne
And proclaims itself master of the mind
Here is a chance to level the playing field
Undermining my own weary conscious
If that were even at all possible
Dictating the course which
This wild horse runs

Perseverance triumphs over the fervorous
