POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
The Beast Within
I can hear them screaming.
Begging to be set free.
To set havoc opon the world.
I can't let that happen.
I hold them all within.
They cry.
They scratch.
They pound at my walls.
Got to stay strong,
Or they'll tear right through me.
Unforgiving. Uncaring.
I can't let them out.
Even if it kills me slowly.

Society
Some days I look in the mirror.
I know I'll never be good enough.
Not for this society.
With its twisted words and perfect bodies.
It is not fair to be pushed.
Pushed to believe your not beautiful.
We all are.
Society doesn't control us.
We have to break free.
Free from these chains that bind us.
Trap us in this terrible world.
Break free.
Forever free.
Never free.
Never free.
