Even Now It's You
their kisses make me so tired
but yours they make me so wired
I don't know what it is about you
that drives me so crazy through and through
been trying to get over you since the moment I laid eyes on you
been fighting all these feelings that boil and turn inside
I see you and I'm torn I want to run I want to hide
boy I was so afraid you'd laugh at me
now weve kissed boy we've touched
my heart races my heart breaks
every time you look my way
you take a little more of me
if asked for my life I'd give it freely
I'm not sane when...

the past, the present, the future
woke up late this morning
cant believe I'm still mourning
wanted to go outside but decided otherwise
turned on my radio
to listen to my favorite talk show
they always make me laugh
the music starts my day
thank God it's this way
they played my favorite song
I danced and sang along
don't why I'm happy
when every things going wrong
maybe I'm just that way
I'm always happiest in the dark
when every things falling apart
don't know why I'm not acting sad
when everything makes me feel so bad
all I ever do is get...

Lonely Night
the moon is full and centered in the black, clear starry night
my thoughts are fuzzy, nothing seems right
I sit on the roof my feet dangle so
the chirps of the crickets natures lullaby
car horns carry on the wind from the highway that cuts through my beloved desert
lonely but not sad
a dog barks a couple streets over
from the high pitched sound
I'd say it was one of those imitation rats not a true hound
the cool summer night breeze
rustles the great trees
listen closely and I can hear my own heart beating
I hear the goats and lambs...
my thoughts are fuzzy, nothing seems right

The Boys I Tend To Fall For
boys always question themselves
does she like me? am I good enough? what could I give her? does she even like me?
sure most girls like rich, handsome, sex machines
but then there's girls like me
I like the poets, I like the hero's, I like the warriors
but more importantly I like the guys who can speak their minds
I like my guys smart
with a lot of courage enough to share
a man not a boy
one that confident in himself but not cocky
I like the fighters, the ones that people tend to step away from
I like the guys who are man enough to ask...
does she like me? am I good enough? what could I give her? does she even like me?

What They See
they see my scars
they see the anger that is never far
they see my nose, they see my eyes
and if I let them they see some of my lies
my heart is breaking
they don't see me aching
that I'm not looking for a fight
but I will stand up for myself and others
I won't let the darkness drown me
I won't lay down to die
I won't let you hurt me no you won't ever see me cry
I won't make the mistake of trusting anyone fully and completely again
they see the anger that is never far
they see my nose, they see my eyes
and if I let them they see some of my lies
my heart is breaking
they don't see me aching
that I'm not looking for a fight
but I will stand up for myself and others

Corpse Babe
Blue lifeless skin
With no beating heart within
Motionless small hands
Lose skin the child will never grow in
They hold her and rock her as if she's alive
She's not, she's dead
She'll never raise that tiny little head
They rock and hold a corpse
She can't feel
This is how they deal
With the fact that our newest baby girl is dead
I cried for hours so don't think I'm cold
Just because the corpse I do not hold
Dedicated To: My Dead Baby Sister Maggee
With no beating heart within
Motionless small hands
Lose skin the child will never grow in
They hold her and rock her as if she's alive
She's not, she's dead
She'll never raise that tiny little head

cookie monster hat
I got a cookie monster hat
people think me mighty strange
they surely don't know how my brains arranged
I wear it all the time
I'm so glad my brother gave it to me so I could call it mine
love the color, love the eyes
that it's blue shouldn't be a surprise
my cookie monster hat matches my personality so well
since I'm crazy for cookies too
I shake the tassels all the time
love this hat cuz it's all mine
I might look funny to you
but at least I'm happy when I'm wearing blue
no matter what I wear

I just want a guy who needs me
one who'll care if I'm alone

cuz I can find those by the dozens

actually cares about what I'm thinking

Dad where were you?
I needed you, my brother needed you
where were you when he hit mom and us
why weren't you there to protect me
when he beat me with that fishing pole?
what was wrong with me, Daddy?
didn't you know I cried every time
I saw the look in other girls eyes
when they'd walk by with their own dads
mom used to hold me as I cried at night
