POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write what I feel I need to write. Anything more and I've defeated the purpose. Any less and I'm wasting time.
The dreams of an insomniac
I lay,
Upon my bed,
In the darkest hour of night.
I twist and turn,
Trying to find comfort,
To no avail.
Staring at the clock,
Waiting for sleep,
Even in the smallest amount.
Then,
After hours of turning and staring,
Sleep finds me,
And with it comes a dream.
A dream that reminds me,
Why I don't sleep in the first place.
It was of a monstrous beast,
Digging it's claws into mother earth,
Ripping her to shreds.
The trees were shattered,
The mountains crumbled,
The ocean...
Upon my bed,
In the darkest hour of night.
I twist and turn,
Trying to find comfort,
To no avail.
Staring at the clock,
Waiting for sleep,
Even in the smallest amount.
Then,
After hours of turning and staring,
Sleep finds me,
And with it comes a dream.

A mere vision.
One night,
In my deepest slumber,
I saw a hopeful sight.
Twas a sight,
Of happiness and love,
Which I seldom obtain.
I lay in green grass,
Back proped on a tree,
And the spring sun right over me.
As I look to my right,
I see my love in a hammock,
Swinging between another pine and mine.
I simply smile and look at the sky,
So clear and blue,
And breathe.
I breathe in the moment,
Of having no trubles,
No worries.
I breathe in the moment,
Which is filled,
With so much ecstacy.

A solem prayer for a broken soul
i search for thee, Lord.
i inquire forgiveness,
i inquire redemption.
i beg that you cleanse my Sins,
Heavenly Father,
The many and putrid i have committed.
Where are you Lord?
Will you hear my plea?
Will you listen to my prayer?
i know i have committed many Sins,
But i wish to turn,
From my evil ways.
Purge my Sins,
Forgive me,
Save me.
No one knows who i really am,
What i have really done,
Except you, Lord.
So please,
i beg you with my broken soul,
Forgive me.
i need to...
i inquire forgiveness,
i inquire redemption.
i beg that you cleanse my Sins,
Heavenly Father,
The many and putrid i have committed.
Where are you Lord?
Will you hear my plea?

Purgatory
Anything we do,
Anything we say,
Does not matter.
One can be as hateful,
Or as loving as they want,
But it will not change their fate.
Society can kill me if it wants,
Any one can kill me for that matter,
For won't we all die at some point?
Suicide is pointless as well,
For it's only a quick shortcut,
From the World to Hell.
And Hell is true pain,
"...where there will be weeping,
And gnashing of teeth."*
So why not just wait,
It is in vain to do so,
But what choice is there?
We are...
Anything we say,
Does not matter.
One can be as hateful,
Or as loving as they want,
But it will not change their fate.
Society can kill me if it wants,

If I forget
They say I should change.
They tell me to let it go,
That it's all in the past.
The hell it is.
My memories are my own,
I need to keep them.
If there is one phrase,
I hate hearing from anyone,
It's "you should just move on".
How can one move on,
When the death of those closest,
Still stalk their mind?
How can one move on,
If they still seek their redemption,
For their sins in the past?
I understand,
I cant do anything,
Regarding the fact,
That death has the final say,
on this...
They tell me to let it go,
That it's all in the past.
The hell it is.

Cynical
I look around,
And see the fake smiles,
People toss around.
Life is a damn masquerade,
It is people lying and hiding,
Behind their own masks.
Only steel can break them,
Not just steel,
But the steel.
I often dream of the steel.
The cold, smooth,
Sharpened steel.
The luring steel.
The steel that lies,
The steel frees.
The steel breaking,
My hideous facade,
Thats damning me to hell.
These masks made of stone,
That never gives way,
Are worn by all.
But one day,...
And see the fake smiles,
People toss around.
Life is a damn masquerade,
It is people lying and hiding,
Behind their own masks.
Only steel can break them,
Not just steel,
But the steel.

Gone
Alas, my love,
I once smelled your sweet fragrance,
Once saw your innocent smile,
And heard your melodious voice.
Woe is me,
Nostalgia rends and rips my heart,
Into scattered pieces.
Chaos burdens me,
For your face still lives in my mind,
Your feelings, in my soul.
Your troubles overcame you,
And you decided to run away,
And leave me to despair.
If I had only known,
If I had only told you,
That I love you.
Then perhaps you would still be here,
Id know if you were alive,
And I would not live in...
I once smelled your sweet fragrance,

Sadness of the third degree
I searched for love in my heart,
yet I could not find it.
Instead, there is a hole,
And from it,
Blood weeps unto my hand.
I reached for happiness,
yet I found sorrow.
My dark red blood is draining away,
and mother earth eagerly drinks.
I lay in my remorse,
My regret,
A bullet through my heart.
Where do you find love?
I have seen so many others happy,
Drunk in love.
Yet when I search for loves welcome,
I find sorrow holding the gun.
As I lay,
Waiting for deaths warm embrace,
I find...
yet I could not find it.

Blood weeps unto my hand.
I reached for happiness,
