stupid
i want a place where it's never too cold or fucking hot
where your best friend calls you back no matter what
where doing your best gets you far
and no one drives a stupid car
and men never created porn
and chicks aren't stupid slutty whores
who get jealous about weight and looks,
feel vindictive, and write bad books
i want the guys to actually be trustworthy
to say what they want to hear when they want you to talk dirty
to say you're gorgeous every day
especially when you don't feel that way
to tell you how they really feel
not feed you...

wilting
a whisper
of a question kept
secret
far too long
a flower
blooms inside a
cave
that the miner hollowed, all wrong
for each fleeting ray of sun
a flurry of snow and freezing wind
for each glistening raindrop
a black night devoid of stars, hiding the moon
for each face remembered with fondness
a reflection tired and used, no trace of joy
for each cherished memory
a storm of instances that ought to be forgotten
a curtain
over the wall which
hides
the man in disguise
a petal
falls
for every day the world...

magic soup
ladle dips into a pot of
lukewarm soup, thin, thin soup
barely more than a poorly seasoned
broth, tastes just a little bit off,
it looks okay from the view over
the brim, but stir it around
of the few things floating,
quite little can be found
wonder, be it too late
to add a cut of some
exotic vegetable
savory meat
a dash of salt
turn up the heat
perhaps if some dedicated chef
were to come across such a
desolate creation
add a touch of magic
pour it into a handsome bowl,
first taste
is much better than before...

shattered city
may the quest lie in the eyes of the greatest rescue,
may the destination lie in the heart of the evilest city
where the good are only corrupt
and the dirty and crooked are never to pity
clouds are closing over brilliant, shining sun
take out your carts, with darkness comes gain
the young ones empty puddles and bathe under gutters
welcome to the place that always longs for rain
lamps illuminated by day, cracked and useless by night
streets lain with aged and broken cobblestones
doorways remain open, though guests are not welcome
windows...

eyes open, vision consumed with nothing but angry red
too long has it been since
he has seen her under
canopies of brilliant orange
brightened by the golden yellow
of midday sun
too long since he last saw her
in that sweater, violently green
she was the prettiest flower in the garden
eyes more blue than the sea and sky
even on the nights of deepest violet
when they would enjoy the fall
holding her hand, gloved in blue,
inside of his, encased in green
one night, a yellow raincoat emerged
as the rain began to devastate
the orange...

on the breeze
gliding over layers of orange and yellow
cool breeze mixes with sunshine mellow
journeying back to my home and fellow
a perfect autumn day
splashing through puddles of dirt and raindrops
onward i travel, i may make no stops
my love is my destination, upon the hilltop
a cozy rainy day
climbing over rocks and up paths of dirt
wind plays gently at the hem of my skirt
hand in hand with love, my heart shan't hurt
an enchanting sunny day
laying in the arms of love, surrounding us is cold,
reflecting on the time that's passed,...

burn
spouting lethal fumes again
feel them pressing on my brain
looks about expectantly
I maintain some decency
pushed behind and to the right
seeking out all forms of light,
refuge in my page and pen
speeding off towards the end
it's curious, I'm soothed by rain,
but less than what you hoped I'd gain
it matters not the time or distance
I always find the same resistance.

journey through heaven
mountains of deep indigo and luscious evergreen
overlook a wild, open meadow of flowers often seen
coral roses, amethyst tulips, tigerlillies, dragonheart
daisies and a patch of clovers, those are just a start!
a hill slowly rises, now with nearly nothing at your feet,
to a quiet place that's shaded by the weeping willow tree
peer through her gentle leaves, what a sight you shall perceive!
a magnificent white castle shines in the coming of the eve
down the slope you scurry, your path so very clear,
through the pretty, plentiful garden, growing in a sphere...

for tomorrow's horizon
morning arrives warm, bright and open
countless buoys scatter this vast stretch of ocean
sun diamonds glitter atop the clear water
secret sea treasures whose beauty shan’t falter
on the point, the tide crawls in and out around the center
setting the time of our routine adventure
to find and visit old-named spaces in between,
to see the rocks we’ve dubbed here, how silly it may seem
some childhood things I can’t let pass,
and my heart’s call for you, I know shall last
for although ships a-plenty do I see,
I fear that, today, none shall...

for you
Indefinite odds of
Living
Or
Vanishing
Encompass the minds of
All who allow themselves to
Need and
Desire, to
Realize, in
Every
Waking moment, that
Fighting for something
Is more than standing for a
Cause, it is
Knowing that just one can
Empower
Trust in the
Ties that bind.

the prince and the duchess
After a late night journey through the rain,
She returns “home,” so far out of reach-
The duchess peers out her window
Hoping for just a glimpse
Of the shining tower that houses the prince
Gladly would she give up
All to do with her tiny, free city
To stand by the side of the prince,
So dashing and loyal, ever so kind and inviting
Her balcony overlooks dying fields,
But in the dark she can pretend
That below her lies a perfect patch of green,
Where her prince waits, to dance into the night

tangled in the twilight
so quick and so very simple
this quiet and perfect satisfaction
time is a formality; formality, non-existent,
i have forgotten every normal human restriction
to music that need not be played,
held in your arms, i follow you
we’re tangled in the twilight
we could take a staircase to the moon
led by a procession of the brightest stars
the sky has ever hoped to shine
beside you in the still of night
it’s bliss to know you’re mine
for my andy
