My dad was far from being a hippy. Lol BUT he used to keep me up late to listen to Jefferson Airplane. We're both musicians so he was trying to expose me to things that I probably wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise.

Far as Jefferson Airplane ;

I used to see them , live in the San Francisco Bay Area ,
playing for free , for hours , them and the Grateful Dead ,
in the early 1970's , in Golden Gate Park...

Huge concerts , no money involved ( except for drugs )...

They were just two bands of many , that played for free ,
in the early days of the *revolution* when we rose !

Later , Hot Tuna , joined the ranks , free concerts...

I am sorry you all were not there , to see , and experience ,
what it was like...when we altered the reality it was...;)

Look up free concerts golden gate park 1960's - 1970's...

And all around the Bay...;)
