"Are you with me, Kira? I was always with you." from Riddick

So if you don't know I love science fiction, fantasy, fiction, poetry, and some autobiography.

So this scene when she was dying and he asked that question, hit me in a way that even though I may not be physically there. I am with you. (No I am not leaving)
I'm that person if you have not seen me in a while it's like I just saw you yesterday. Like time never passed.
Anyway, this is just me thinking about the meanings of lines and quotes.
These is just free-flowing thoughts

“Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.”

– Sonmi-451, Cloud Atlas

Sonmi-451 was a type of synthetically created human clone known as a "fabricant", who worked as a dinery server at a restaurant called Papa Song's. She has limited sentience, but her ability to think improves as she learns more about the world. Upon her temporary rescue, she becomes as smart as any "pureblood" human through exposure to the great philosophers and world leaders. She falls in love, experiences sex, and realizes that her emotions and consciousness are that of a human.

During her brief freedom, she is shocked to learn that the "pureblood" humans "recycle" fabricants after a designated amount of time to feed to other fabricants to sustain the workforce. After this revelation, Sonmi vows to assist the resistance ( who are trying to free synthetic fabricants ).

The quote is from her broadcast before she was captured and *excised* after an interview with a historian, who ended up believing her ability to think and feel as a human. This in turn changed the future.

"Know who you are" Moana and "Know your Worth" Joy Luck Club

We reinvent ourselves numerous times in our lives, but you should never lose who you are. Know your worth. You are worthy to be loved in all your variations. Do you love yourself or is that the goal we are striving to do?

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather."
Bill Hicks.

"The nature of those who seek power is not to serve but to serve themselves."

Loved that movie. <3

“People pontificate, "Suicide is selfishness." Career churchmen like Pater go a step further and call in a cowardly assault on the living. Oafs argue this specious line for varying reason: to evade fingers of blame, to impress one's audience with one's mental fiber, to vent anger, or just because one lacks the necessary suffering to sympathize. Cowardice is nothing to do with it - suicide takes considerable courage. Japanese have the right idea. No, what's selfish is to demand another to endure an intolerable existence, just to spare families, friends, and enemies a bit of soul-searching.”

Every time you have an urge to make the world a better place, the soul is connected to your psyche. Every time you try to comfort another creature, even a stranger or tree, you are connecting to that other being through your soul, and every time you try to make yourself into a better person, your soul is excited by the opportunity you are giving it to direct your life. There is nothing esoteric here. Your soul is a kind of idealized version of yourself, but it is more real than the self that was crafted by responses to so-called civilizing impacts on our impressionable selves.

Very interesting painting. I see Egyptian, Norse (celtic), Greek, and Italian inspiration.

" A man can be an artist... in anything, food, whatever. It depends on how good he is at it. Creasy's art is death." This is from Man on Fire starring Denzel Washington

I am crone.  I have now joined the elder expanse of women no longer buffeted by every wind of change that blows; and cultivating the wisdom of unity and presence. Birds in an infinite sky with a language all our own., we who now gaze into the darkness, whose blood remembers that we are stars.

I am crone. And after a long while of gathering together the thoughts of what that now means, I created this as a constant reminder of what I must embody in this new role. It began with “She who contains, and is, the spark”. She who sees the entirety of the life/death cycle. She whose power  is the ability to transcend *and* transform. Contained in the darkness and winter of her life, she is the fire within, through which all things glow and burn.

This is the image I use as a reminder of who I am, and who I am becoming.

She who lights the spark of life. She who extinguishes it. And she who lights it again.
One hand receiving, one hand blessing. A heart that is always open.
A madwoman unapologetic.
Love and love and love..

It is my reminder when to surrender and when to rage.
When to hurt and when to be love..

It is the totem that I must carry, the light that has been palmed to us by pythonesses, mystics, ancestresses and abbesses that have now awakened in our blood.
It is a promise to all other women that you are my sister, that I will rise up and celebrate or fight for you. A vow that I will let the veil fall and celebrate anew what it is to be truly naked. I will give the soft animal of my flesh a home and no longer deny the things that I know that I know.
That I know.

(And still, there are no words or apologies
for how much I love the storm.)

“Belief, like fear or love, is a force to be understood as we understand the theory of relativity and principals of uncertainty. Phenomena that determine the course of our lives. Yesterday, my life was headed in one direction. Today, it is headed in another. Yesterday, I believed I would never have done what I did today. These forces that often remake time and space, that can shape and alter who we imagine ourselves to be, begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. Our lives and our choices, like quantum trajectories, are understood moment to moment. That each point of intersection, each encounter, suggest a new potential direction."
