due to small mindedness
ingrained fear
and his own
deeply apparent
inadequacy
to roar of infliction
is easier
than true introspection
, and was counted upon...
he sent you fleeing
but not from thoughts
or memories stored
and cherished—so
that knowledge remains
of your constant goodness
imbued gifts that were
are
and always will be
savored by most

The first real step back to normalcy
Sweat slowly rolls
across my forehead
upper lip
and down my neck
Hard fought for,
are those big drippings of
exhausted essence
absolute truth
via severe hard work
Catching my breath
slamming a shot of wheatgrass
with an orange slice chaser
tastes of summertime
coats my mouth
pumping through my veins
a pure renewal
Hope permeates
muscle tissue
as each yoga stretch
each deep breath
soothes, in aftermath
to cool—
reconciling a body
and soon,
it's probable painful
rewards
