              Love's Star

Love's star shines brightly on we two
brings hope to me
bring faith to you

It's light inflames the cold night sky
strong as this love
that never will die

No cloud, nor lightning, nor thunder
could darken this star
that we wait under

Love's star will ever brightly burn
then guide me home
when I return...

(slightly over the word limit)

Twinkle

I follow
Ambient waves of gold
To silver pure
And streak the sky
In radiant knowing movement
Where wishes land
And are held
glad
Captive
Until our minds eye
Sends them shooting
Free
Falling
Star

Used by the starlight
Not only at night
Their taunting rays
Take up our days
Can't hide from the light
It goes left it goes right
In our eyes it plays
Follows all our ways
The darkness it will fight
Validating our sight
With its distant blaze
The moon earns its bays
Bathing all in white
While our eyes are shut tight
So the trees can grow and cattle graze
Endure it now like life a passing faze

I caught the last glimpse of your redshift
But even when your beyond the event horizon
I can still feel your rays
This next lightyear is gonna be a dark one

Happy Starlight

Nothing but starlight above
My fingertips. I want to trace
Every last one of them until
I feel the peace washing
Over me like the silence of
The night. I want to remember
Every constellation, but I am
Just happy staring at them
Trying to find my home again.

In the dark, starlight silent shines down
Shadows and light turn smiles to a frown
Grins are stains exposed to illumination
Twins are veins of self-gratification

Here in starlight where it’s so pretty
I dig in my body so I don’t feel shitty
The chemical rush makes things so bright
I press a kiss against the starlight

I’m reaching to the fire in the sky
As alien worlds pass me by
I know I was not meant for this place
As starlight washes over my face

The beautiful distance that I seek
A pinpoint in the darkness bleak
The journey safe is but a guess
From the world, I wish to transgress

Away from all these expectations
Photons arriving at destinations
Travelling along this vein
Starlight bleach away the pain

BLACK STARS

O’ patterns of nocturnal tapestry
Benighted I, by luciform gallery
Shadowing my tenebrose effigy
In the spectre of idle eternity

Do they laugh at my continuity?
As they themselves are long since freed?
Like the world I know is caging me?
A penumbra in their reliquary?

Nocturnal Love

The night's dark
Yet so bright
Passion soars
Under starlight

Words are spoken
Vows are made
Hearts are sold
In loves own trade

Dark is light
Cold is warm
Fireless touches
Feelings burn

Twinkling witnesses
Hangs above
Shedding rays
On new found love
