Dear Starlight

Promise me your light will never fade away
Tell me we’ll be together forever in a day

My ship is flying on a wing and a prayer
And it’s not fast enough to get me there

But when I reach you
I’ll be able to hold you in my arms

Campfire Eyes

Play me a song—
your fingertips running
on strings
the way they
caressed words from
my lips to
your tune.

The stars blink
their approval, light
twinkling playfully, as
the wood burned, reflecting
in your eyes.

when the glittering down of morning fell
i mourned your shine
my lucifer how you lit with mercy
this heart lost in wanderlust
and guided me out of its cross wilderness
as your gleaming was truth
and oh my soul how it set me free

you're my starlight

You're a warning in my mid
Words of stories I can't hear
Tones of starlight on my chest
Love that is unreal and sheer
Weird illusions may occur...
Can't keep my heart in place
My life, as known, is about to blur
A wild energy caresses my face
Every time I connect with you
is like another dimension
I cannot describe the depth
I cannot describe the tension

Then you left behind some doubts
Colouring by blank self in purple
So we drew some cupid lines
and began a vicious circle
Why do we sabotage ourselves?
Why don't we just step off
You're either my reality, or reality is a lie
Or just a strange magnetic field of my soul

...well, I hope you don't mind, I wrote and posted it earlier today.so you may consider it as new; thanks

The starlight
See how it flickers
Gently now
Growing quicker
The the slow fade
Before the burn
That lights the way
And reaches worlds

Dear Boy,

On the night before your fifth birthday,
I dreamed of
your funeral.
Woke with tears,
raw throat.
Like I spent the night
in lamentation.

I found myself praying
“he is alive.”
as I opened your bedroom door.
Trembling hands cupped
sleepy cheeks.

and…

For a brief moment
your starlight eyes looked at me,
interrupted my fears with comfort.
My crystal tears splashed on your
warm chest.

“Did you know your bedroom window
is perfect for stargazing?”
whispered into your ear,
curled around you.

The clean stars that sparkle your eyes
filled your little room
with wonder
and safety.

Orion

Orion never caught the kudu
It was always out of his reach
The stars shine brighter than we do
As we lay on a desolate beach

Stars shine playfully perfect
Burning brighter than our pale old sun
We try harder to resurrect
Under the stars we used to have fun
