Pick a number from 1-20 and...See what happens!
I have a list of poem topics with certain requirements, such as: themes you must incorporate, length of poem, usage of literary devices, and many more.
please PM me any number between 1-20 and I will PM you what you have chose! Also, do not PM others saying what topic belongs this number, or that number, etc, as it is defeating the whole purpose of the comp. Each person should have a different response if they do so happen to get the same number as someone else, as it is designed for that special purpose.

I slipped into a beautiful nightmare

I'd have spent forever and never left your side
I gave myself all I could have in that moment

But that was the past, in all it's ugly truth

A real man that loves me in the best return
The one I want to be my forever friend and lover
To you, good riddance, you're nothing to me
Hatred and resentment is all I feel for you
I hope someone plays you as well as you did me
Then breaks you and leaves like its nothing new
Kneel to rusty hinges and pray for joy
The sirens are coming
with their wailing pleas
don't go in there
don't go in there
leave wasting eyes in lands of empty
with its broken doors
leave them locked and turn away
look to the lights
make your own pleas
those dragging glances will leave a mark
lock them in place
safe from dark maws
don't beg for light
it will come
no need to lock the clicking light to lick the wounds of minds
ease amour into aching flesh until you hear skin sigh
it might drown the breaking blood
and stem the flow of its cry
