and the way i scream
i say if you play your cards right
you can rival me later
you can cite the dead sea scrolls
and try to make them breath again
from my basement
no windows
or conception of time
pan fry
pride
and dis allusion
when you urinate
let's patch the holes in your jeans
die your hair again
i'm not an idiot
it's just your fucking hair is dead
as much as my enthusiasm to not kick you out
and tie you up for a second encounter
familiarity with calamity

My Two Worlds
There's a world, a life
unknown to many but that's changing
everyday
A spectrum of people
like me, a bit different
and none much like another
It's called Autism
It's misunderstood on so many levels
and we on this planet
we who have it
feel no relation to much
of what's here
like being from a different universe
earth remains, unclear
Social protocol requires lies
and facades
and a subtlety that most of us
simply lack
I'm sorta lucky, being an Aspie
we high functioning types
try and speak for the rest
the ones who have everything trapped
and can't vent
the ones who'll never get out
what's in their heads
and the fingers point
at foods, vaccines
it all becomes suspect
and no-one agrees
on much of anything...
So many are artists
the only catharsis that's possible
many have genius IQ's
but not all
It's not a condition that
can be outgrown
and to us, here in it
riding this spectrum of blue
we feel that "normal"
has been misconstrued
to our exclusion
To us, It's more fitting
to accept that we're different
natural to speak our mind's
without the filters others were assigned
to us, it's about acceptance
that we are equal, not less than
to us, it's all sad
that no-one can get that
or us, for that matter
It's a different world
Most of us, in all actuality
feel like we are not
from this planet
and would like to go home
wherever that is...
There's a world, a life

The Pretty Clown
Out of nowhere she sprouted in the 'hood
like a wild mushroom in the woods;
nobody really cares in this part of town
where folks simply call her: the pretty clown.
She was lovable, her antics real funny--
especially when she mimics Bugs Bunny
Everyone in the near-by subdivision
likes her performance in stellar fashion...
Behind the "funny mask" hides the tears--
after a joyful performance, comes her fear...
How long can she keep her dark secret:
hiding in plain sight - she's the missing starlet...
She was in the limelight, her stardom on the rise
when she was gang-raped just before sunrise
inside her home after a long night of shooting;
her place ransacked, to make it look like a looting.
One by one her assailants vanished on earth
after each of her performances filled with mirth
Who would have thought that this pretty clown:
the same dreaded serial killer - talk of the town!

lover, hater, bullet, womb maker
sister, brother, stranger, intangler
creator, destroyer, leveler, builder
conniver, lover, sinner, forgiver
measures of hate, pain, and fame
mixed with much others i'd rather not name
cloaked in deeds that bring misfortune to some
waiting awhile in time for the flower to blossom
Build a grass patch. mow with lawnmower a month later
cotton gin to parce, wool and cloth to the separator
spindle and a needle a sweater the deeds wrot
A surgoens knife burns and cuts and swipes
to an untrained eye a madman he looks like
taking parts of anatomy that I cannot spell
throwing it in a pail like a dinner for a cannibal
a father with his child will try to teach and reason
with a strong firm voice he will ground for a season
a Judge will sentence not at all to torment
but all in hopes that the convict will righteously lament

from the pauper to a king the ying to the yang
you don't know where or what you'll be
