- The Lion’s Lament -
I saw a marvel in Heaven that I must convey!
A woman like a dove bade me look and pray.
Alone she slumbers, whilst man dreams long…
I walked in her dream; I heard her song.
Child, come over to me and know peace true!
This she spoke unto me, ‘ere she was through.
Beyond the waters of the Abyss I soared…
Whilst like a golden lion, I loudly roared.
Had I wished for so terrible a revelation as so…
Was granted unto me, in waters that flow?
Or from the heights, when the light broke free:
And told me the truth about my destiny…
Until at last, I could endure the pain no longer.
Yet I was spared worse, until stronger!
A storm was in the Abyss, laughing thunders…
Whilst my eyes beheld: my creator’s wonders.
Was I so vain that I thought myself the whole?
How could I have forgotten what I now extol!
Wisdom wanted me to see, and for truth sue…
I opened my eyes, because I wanted this too.
All that I saw, I beheld until I saw no more,
Yet even still there was much truth in store.
I knelt in awe, giving my life to a higher cause!
When all was done, I saw all there was…
Until, from her slumber, my creator did wake!
No more wisdom was left, to partake.
The woman in me wept, the man as well!
Some visions hold more pain than Hell.

< none of us >
none of us is supposed to mention
how close we become those burning
figures pinned to the sides of
chance and none of us is supposed
to say we saw them come to gather
us like a secret we can't guess
and when they turned we saw
they looked like us
but then
they always look like us

A HIGHER POWER (HP)
I believe in a “Higher Power” to be called HP,
I believe HP wanted me to be,
The evidence for this is my birth
You see, I never wanted to be born at all!
I believe in an HP, because of traffic you see
Drivers driver so badly, it is a miracle to be
Alive after driving down
The main road of our town...
I believe in an HP because it:
Created the earth, the sky, the land
The creatures, great and small
Provided for all, loves us all
Finally I believe in a Higher Power
Who personally takes care of me
This HP has watched over and talked to me
When things were hopeless, they turned around
When things went well, the HP gave me a test
The test was hard, but I prayed to the HP
To help me and messengers were sent
They were people like you and me
No angels, just good human beings
Showing there is a purpose in our lives
Of being good to other people
Not waiting for GOD to do it.....

Incantations from the other side
The plains are vast
The land is free
Out you hunters
Out you farmers
Live in the land
For it is yours to use
Leave not your arrows
Leave not your spears
On the sills of your mother’s house
Go forward and roam free
To hunt and bring back venison
In these deeds do not forget the gods
For the gods that guard
For the spirits that guide
Let the blood be presented
On the crescent golden bowl
On the altar of sacrifice
Hold up the bowl towards the east
To appease the spirits of dawn
That gives you light
Hold up the bowl towards the west
For the spirits of twilight
That gives you night and rest
Befoul not the temple with your insolence
Befoul not this sacred place with your ingratitude
For the land and all in it
The sea with all in it
They are from the gods
The plains are vast
The land is free
Out you hunters
Out you farmers
Live in the land
For it is yours to use
Leave not your arrows
Leave not your spears

Noon glow slipping
through tall trees
blurring scenery
introduce aura
to every in ambiance
as if waterpaint in musing
edges blend
omnipotent anti-aliasing
left no distinct
hue contrast fluctuate
bloom zoom spume boom
Rupture into nebular
delicate molecules
dance a genre
of holistic spiritual
reconstruct itself
into a rainbow ocean
riding on waves
circle round cosmic gala
planets in resonance
sings Bach's Minuet in G major
bathing in cosmogonic orgy
ego baptism
croon tune swoon boom
Fall
into the crackling crisp
of fallen leaves
Bliss

Great work to all who entered! Thank you for participating. Freddwzz, you've blown me away here and are crowned the winner. You barely edged out Ray with his first entry. It was hard choosing so you should be proud. Thank you again for entering, everyone.
